Using Avense

Avense helps you record meals, organize recipes, and track nutrition goals. These terms cover the Avense app and web service. Contact Avense at support@avense.app for support or questions about these terms. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Avense.

Keep your account credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Do not access other users' accounts, interfere with the service, bypass subscription restrictions, or upload unlawful content. You are responsible for the content you choose to upload and share.

Community

Avense has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We remove content that violates these terms and suspend accounts that post it. We review reports within 24 hours.

To report a post, comment, or profile, use the report control where it appears, or email support@avense.app with the relevant username or post link and a short explanation. To stop seeing or hearing from someone, use the block control on their profile.

Nutrition and AI estimates

Avense is a food and fitness tracking tool and is not medical advice. Nutrition targets, imported recipes, food database entries, and AI results are informational estimates. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Check suitability with a qualified professional when appropriate for your health needs.

AI can analyze meal photos, saved photos, restaurant order screenshots, and recipe content. It can miss ingredients, misread text, or estimate portions and nutrition incorrectly. A restaurant name does not mean results are endorsed by that restaurant or verified against its current nutrition information. Review and edit every estimate before saving. Do not rely on AI to establish allergen safety.

AI features are optional and use OpenAI. They are off until you allow them, either with the optional box when you create your account or once, the first time you use photo logging, a meal description, or a recipe import. After that, the photo, text, or recipe content you choose for those features is sent to OpenAI for analysis. You can turn AI features off at any time in Settings → Profile and privacy; manual entry always remains available. Crop out names, addresses, payment details, and other unnecessary personal information. Upload only material you have permission to use. An AI badge identifies assisted content; it does not certify accuracy.

Avense Pro subscription

Avense Pro costs $8.99/month after a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when the trial ends. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID account settings.

Avense is free to download and use for food search, barcode scanning, targets, recipes and progress; Pro is optional. Pro adds photo logging, meal descriptions and recipe imports, subject to the limits displayed in the app. Processing is subject to availability and rate limits; unlimited AI usage is not promised.

Canceling stops future renewals; access ordinarily continues through the paid period. Deleting the app is not a subscription cancellation. Contact support about mistaken charges or failed paid service. These terms do not limit any refund or cancellation rights provided by applicable law.

Recipes and community content

You retain rights you hold in your content and permit Avense to process, store, and display it as needed to provide the features you request. Share content only with the intended audience and respect creators' rights and source attribution. Importing a recipe does not transfer ownership of third-party content. Contact support to report content or request removal.

Availability and changes

Features may be interrupted by maintenance, provider outages, or changes. Avense does not guarantee particular weight, health, or fitness results. We may restrict misuse and update these terms or the service; material subscription changes should be communicated before they apply. Nothing here excludes responsibilities or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
